The Community

Grayhawk Scottsdale is a master-planned community where the everyday pleasures that make life so enjoyable are not only embraced but celebrated. Comprised of more than 1,600 acres, this community is located in the heart of Scottsdale and showcases the finest aspects of family – and the resort-style living in two distinct, yet interconnected neighborhoods. The Park and The Retreat. The community consists of more than 4,000 residential homes with a broad mix of housing types along with nationally acclaimed Grayhawk Golf Club.

The neighborhoods feature a distinctive landscape and architectural palette that complement the dramatic natural beauty of the surrounding Sonoran Desert. It is this sensitivity to the surrounding environment and its history which adds long-term value to the community and all who reside within. Likewise, other Grayhawk community amenities were intended to seamlessly blend into the overall tapestry of the residential community to provide lifestyle pursuits in harmony with their surroundings:

  • 36 Holes of World-Class Golf
  • Public & Private Schools
  • Neighborhood Parks
  • Boys & Girls Club Campus
  • 31 miles of Multi-use Trails
  • Retail Shopping & Dining
  • Commercial & Office Development
  • Medical Campus

These and other amenities serve to enhance the residents’ enjoyment of the unique lifestyles offered by each of Grayhawk’s neighborhoods. To assure that residents actually become neighbors, Grayhawk enlists the efforts of a Resident Program Director. Her job is to produce thoughtful events that help to build long-term relationships among Grayhawk residents. Because of the diversity of options, the quality of the community and the incredible added value Grayhawk affords its residents, the community is widely considered one of the most popular and successful master-planned communities in the American Southwest. In fact, Grayhawk was chosen by the readers of AZ Business Magazine as Arizona’s #1 Master-Planned Community.

Grayhawk opened in 1996 with all of its 2,000 homes in The Park and 1,600 homes in The Retreat purchased by 2004. However, a resort component to the community is in the planning stages.
